Convert Stained Spindles to Gray

Recently we painted a HUGE banister from stained wood to painted surface. It’s very traditional to paint spindles white. But white in this particular home would be too sharp of a contrast to all the dark wood around it. Instead the client and Walla Painting elected to paint the spindles and posts a medium gray to accent the light gray walls. Paint used is Emerald Trim from Sherwin-Williams, a durable paint designed for woodwork–cabinets, banisters, doors, etc. Be creative with paint! Don’t always stay with traditional white. Grays have been popular for some years and will continue to be for many years. It’s neutral and sharp looking. A break from traditional and sometimes boring white and beige paint. Give us a call to share your ideas!
